About Me

My name is Jon, and I’m fat. Not as fat as I was 6 months ago, but still fat.
Over the last 6 months, I’ve lost 97 pounds through an extreme diet and daily exercise. But, over the last 2 months, work took over my schedule and I’ve only worked out about 5-6 times in the last 60 days.
I’m writing this blog for two reasons… both equally important. The first: Accountability. I’m going to work out every day for the next year and post the results here. Not wanting to disappoint my tens and tens of readers, I’ll use this blog as an accountability method to work out every day. The second reason for this blog is motivation. If there are others out there wanting to lose weight, I hope my journey will provide you with the extra boost of motivation to get out there and change your life through exercise and diet.
A little more about me:
I’m 23.
I grew up in College Station, TX… graduating from A&M Consolidated High School in 2004.
In the last 5 years since I graduated high school, I’ve owned my own business, gotten married, and managed to gain almost 50 pounds.
I’m an Agricultural Development major at Texas A&M University, but haven’t graduated – yet. Between running a business and getting married, things got a little busy and school unfortunately got put on the back-burner.
I currently work as the Editor for AggieAthletics.com, and absolutely love it. As someone who’s grown up in College Station and idolizing Aggie Athletics, this is truly a blessing for me to work where I do (my office is Kyle Field – how cool is that?)
My wife, Laura, graduated with her education degree from Texas A&M this past Spring and is currently the 3rd grade teacher at Anson Jones Elementary in Bryan.
I do appreciate those of y’all who take time to read my blog. Feel free to leave comments, post your weight-loss tips, or just read along as I continue to transform myself through daily exercise and diet.
